Defining Easter People
Changed by a Cross and An Empty Tomb
In a few weeks the celebration of Pentecost will mark the birthday of the church. Prior to that the disciples were told to wait and pray and reflect on who they were in light of the resurrected Christ. Having spent the previous weeks exploring the nature of the gospel message with Rev. Franks, we’ll prepare for Pentecost by exploring the nature of what it means to be God’s people- Easter People. This short series is a transition to our summer examination of the work of the Holy Spirit in shaping us.

not far from the tree
Recognizing & Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit
Believer, non-believer; church member, not a church member; saved and unsaved…how can we possibly know what category someone falls into? How do we know where we happen to be ourselves? The Scriptures use a very good metaphor for this: you will know them by their fruit (Matthew 7:20). Our identity is not gained by through some list or doctrinal stance but rather through a deep connection and growing relationship with the risen Jesus. This relationship, driven by the power of the Holy Spirit, reshapes us and the result is a harvest of “fruit of the Spirit.” This summer, using Galatians 5:16-26 as our template, we’ll explore the nature of this fruit and discuss how it can be cultivated in our daily lives.

We are known by the fruit we bear for the world…not doctrines, styles or rituals!

transformed disciples
What are the baselines for a Transformed Disciple? To Know the Gospel, to Love the Gospel, and to Live the Gospel. In this series led by Rev. Kody Franks, we’ll start by covering what the Gospel is and what does that mean for us as fallen humanity. In week 2, we'll cover the heart transformation of accepting the Gospel. Our desires and what we hold valuable begins to change. Week 3 will cover how to practically live this out. How does a person "who lives out the Gospel" handle everyday life? As we move forward from Easter, join us for this exploration of what it means to be a Transformed Disciple.

Rocked - A Sermon Series for Lent & Easter
Walking with Peter
He was the most unlikely person upon which to build the movement that would change the world. Impulsive, hot-headed and often impatient, Simon even irritated his fellow disciples. But it was not his personality but his solid commitment to Jesus that led the Lord to rename him Peter, literally “the Rock” and on that faith the church was built. Join us this Lent as we travel with Simon Peter and the other unlikely apostles to Calvary and the garden tomb and discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. More importantly, we’ll strip away our own excuses and grow in our trust and commitment.

Renewed
Nurturing a Healthy Discipleship
The church in Colossae was in crisis. Their founder and leader, the Apostle Paul, was in prison and in a city full of spiritual options and activities promising meaning and fulfillment, these half-formed Christians were easy prey to instability and at the same time fascinated by the charms of those who they thought might offer them more! Paul is desperate to root them more deeply in their Christian walk and in a practical, day to day discipleship that will help them both grow in their faith and witness. Two-thousand years later American Christians are still distracted and far too often, rootless. Like the Colossians, we need to keep our roots strong and tap into the renewing power of the Holy Spirit. As we begin 2026, we’re going to take a few lessons from Paul’s letter to the Colossians and seek to develop practical ways to nurture a strong, healthy and growing discipleship in a world full of distractions, temptations and outright opposition. Be sure to join us as we celebrate the inspiring renewal Christ offers!
